Yes it fits.. Had the dealer put a HDS7 in my 06 20I Console, had to buy a new dash plate and have it cut out.. Had a X17 there before.. HDS7 fits nice.. I can get a pic loaded up if you want?
The HDS 7's are a tab bit smaller than the 27/28's. It should fit in the hole but may have some open space on the sides.

The new dash bezel cost me 70.00 through dealer.. I'll try to get you a picture up by tonight.

John just get some black tar for repairing roofs and fill in the cracks with that
make sure you buy the unit with the insight maps what a diffance, I was playing with the units at BPS yesterday since 1 of my 27's went out again
