I posted this in the Yamaha forum but thought I wold post it here also since I haven't got any replies.

I have a 2003 zx225 with a 225 HPDI and when I take it out of gear lately it doesn't want to go into neutral without an extra bump on the shifter. It goes from reverse to neutral ok but not from foward to neutral. Is this an easy fix or something worth taking to a mechanic? I am pretty mechanically inclined but not an outboard mechanic by any means.
