    Livewell Pumps

I have a 1999 ZX185c I added a florite pumpout to it last year, it works ok, but seems my pump is kind of weak. I am wanting to add a stronger pump. Does anyone know what kind of pumps come in skeeters, and if it will be the type that I could just change the cartrige. I have not removed the gas tank yet, so I cant see them very well. This is on my list of things to do this winter, so I am just looking for some helpfull input.

I think it's safe to say that Rule comes on the skeeter's. I had a pump go out on me and all i had to do was pull the cartridge out and replace it. What i done was go from 500 GPH to 700 GPH. Talk about a big difference in pumping water into the livewell. What size pump did you put in there?

I have not done it yet, thats why I am asking. But I was hoping on useing at least 700gph. When I put the florite in, it was just the controll in the livewell that has the pump out head on it. I am hoping to be able to just replace the head, and not the whole pump, and that I can use a higher capacity cartrige than what it came with.

Carefull on the livewell Fill pumps.
My fill pumps are recirculate pumps as well.
I thought I'd upgrade from the 360gph pumps to some 500gph pumps.
    Great idea in theory.
Now I have a problem of my livewells overfilling and flowing out onto the rear deck. The drains will "barely" keep up and if a fish even gets close to one of the drains, water starts flowing out on the carpet.
I think the new secret color is "A-Rig"..........
