2003 250 HDPI Yamaha question

All, I am looking at a used 250zx with a 2003 250 Yamaha. It is from a reputable dealer and they were up front with me about the motor. Apparently, it went through two powerheads until Yamaha got the bugs worked out and now it is on its third which has been on the boat since 04 with 96 running hours with no issues. Now I am not going to lie this concerns me a bit. Should I be concerned? I know that they had their issues in the beginning with the 3.3liter block but I have heard that they worked out the kinks. Thoughts? Good and bad welcomed. Thanks! This is a big investment and I want to ensure that I am not stuck with a lawn ornament :)

After 4 years and roughly 100 hours, I wouldn't be worried about it. You can get 2 years of Yamaha warranty on it to make you feel better.

Jason, thanks buddy! Makes me feel better. How do I go about getting that warranty? How much $$$ does that typically run?
