    What size is the bungee on the rod tie down straps

    Thanks to the useful links posted here i found the site to the bungee cords and hooks. But what size is the bungee on our boats?

    I thought I bought 1/4" when I replaced mine last time. Will check tonight when I get home. Also, take a look at the site below, they let you order up to 15 free samples. I got some from them and they work great.

    1/4" is correct. About 3 1/2 feet per side. I got mine at West Marine and they even had dark blue to match my boat!!

    Man...matching bungee would be nice, but they are probably asking an arm and a leg compared to every where else. Do you recall how much paid?

    I think it was about .70 per foot. Compared to the price of gas, that's not bad!!!

    ok stupid question how do you get to the cord in order to replace it? i cant see any screws or anything thats visible.

    The 1/4" last longer but its a bit@h to get the knot into the end, I got the 1/4" last time like 25' of it online for a real good price

    It's anchored in the top of your rod lockers between the gunwale and the edge of the rod locker..
