    garmin 73sv non chirp

I have neighbor up the street who bought a garmin 73sv thinking it was chirp. He wants to sell it and get a chirp unit. My question is what are the non chirp units going for. I do not know anything about the 73sv series at all.

That's really tough if people know what they are doing. Look at the current discounted price of the chirp unit. Now subtract for it being non-chirp. Now subtract for it being used. It's not going to be good. Anytime I sell a used unit I figure if I get half what I paid for it, it's a win. He probably won't be able to do that.
My wife asks if I'm going to fish every day. I can't fish every day. Some days I might be sick.

Yup. Cabelas was selling non chirps for $500 brand new in dec/Jan. This included everything. Your buddy was the victim of the advancement of technology.
