I don't think that would be the correct remedy for that problem... You will tear up your lower unit gears by doing that... You need to figure out why it is stalling... When is the last time the carbs were rebuilt? I think I would start there...

Skeeter. I just got the boat. It's been sitting a few years and I've trying to put new life into her. The whole rig is Camo. Boat and Motor. I've got a slight gas leak in the middle carbs gas line. The zip tie is loosened. I will get new ties soon. not sure where to buy these.

It's a 1983 Johnson 150 with a V6 motor. The middle carb has a small gas leak. Zip tie loose. Need to replace. Where can I buy these zip ties? Marine or Auto shop?

Anywhere as long as they are fuel and oil resistant.

I got the zip ties at a marine shop. Is there a good online link to how to take the motor apart. Repair manuals would be needed.

Try your local library.... I have found that most libraries carry either the Clymer manual or the Seloc manual...

If you really need to use a clymer or sealoc manual then use it the BEST resource it the Factory Manual. It is pricey but worth it http://WWW.Kencook.com and click on the manual links.
