    Transducer installation help!!!!!!! QUICk

I'm working on the installation of the transducer in the bilge area. The one they put on at the factory is actually "inside" the hull. In other words, they cored out a shallow hole and put it in there. I can't get it out so i'm leaving it. What is your opinion; should core a similar hole or just sand a smoother area out and install like that? It's a '05 SX190.

sand it and use silicone to make a circle large enuff for it to fit in tne fill it with epoxy and the puck. i wouldnt go screwin around down there to much trying to "core" your hull. it will work just fine the other way.

I put a cupped wire wheel on my power drill to get the last of the broken puck out and to clean the hole out

I'm not able to "beat" it out of the hole. I used the dremel tool around the edges and still nothing. I might not have gone deep enough. I know i haven't but don't want to bust through the bottom of the pad. I sanded a spot down about a 1/8" down and will put the puck there. Anybody has anything else before i go ahead. The hard work is pulling the gas tank and batteries out.

Well after grinding a little more and using a some pliers, i was able to get the old ducer out. Alot rougher than what i thought. Seems that they used some resin instead of epoxy. Oh well, I'll post pics tomorrow.
