What's the easiest way to tell if my hotfoot is fully extending the throttle?

I have a feeling i'm not getting full throttle when I have the hotfoot to the floor. What's the easiest way to check? Take the cowl off and verify the throttle cable can't move anymore? or can it simply be tested with the stop bolt behind the footpad?

take cowling off. pop throttle off of linkage. hold throttle blades wide open. get someone to mash hot foot to the floor. adj linkage to fit.
