New personal best for speed with 0620I / 250 hpdi

Fishing with a buddy yesterday morning and we hit 76.4gps at 6000rpms with just over half tank of gas and loaded with gear. That was my best so far. Odd thing is I still had a good bit of trim and throttle left. When it got to 6000rpms I backed off a little. I think I need a little bigger prop for this cooler weather. That is the fastest I have ever been in a boat. That is pretty fast for a heavy boat.

Bugman, have you had the hull mod done yet???

yep, about 4 months ago. I was getting ready to put a for sale sign on it until the hull mod was done. Boat is 100 times better. The only thing I don't like about the way it handles is that to make pretty sharp turns at about 45 mph I have to be at mid trim. If I trim above 4 on the trim gauge it will still bounce a little side to side. Before the hull modification it was unbearable..

What river were you on Monday? I was on False River Monday. Didn't see a Skeeter blow by though. Did see a guy wakeboarding in the freezing water.

Spillway area....Did not even get a bite, but had a blast. How is the fishing at False River. I haven't been there in a while.
