Hey guys! I'm glad to be part of the "Team" here. I just purchased my Skeeter this past month and I'm so excited and proud of her. This is my first real bass boat and I'm full of questions and issues that I'm hoping you can all help me with. Here's a little background.
My name is Adam and I live in Southern New Jersey (13 miles from Ike). I bought my Skeeter for $5k and it's in immaculate condition. The motor runs strong and everything on the boat is in 100% working all around. I already upgraded the trolling motor from a 45lb thrust Motorguide to an 80lb Maxxum Minn Kota. For fish finders the boat came with some older Garmin and Eagle models. I upgraded the front to an Eagle Fishmark 320 and the rear to a Lowrance LMS-480 GPS model. The boat came with a hotfoot and steering wheel trim switch. The motor is a 150hp Mercury Black Max XRi with a 25 pitch Tempest 3 blade prop. The previous owner told me it hit 65mph on the speedo. I hit 64 at 5800rpm speedo. Unfortunately ice has covered our lakes here in New Jersey so I haven't gotten a GPS speed reading on it yet.
I have all kinds of questions ranging from tackle storage to motor maintenance. I hope I don't become too annoying but I look forward to sharing the experience with everyone here.
