    BRP 7 YEAR WARRANTY

When I bought my Z21/ETEC last year, the dealer told me I had the 7 year warranty, extended with FPC. I have never recieved a policy or anything in the mail, the dealer told me I wouldn't get anything and it would be noted when a dealer entered the serial number.

I would like to know if this is true or if I should ask my dealer for a copy of the policy and/or warranty card.

    Thanks,

    Rod

I did get verification of the extension and a CD rom with boat maintenance tips from FPC.

You should have gotten information from FPC.

I also got info from FPC, you should check into it.

I bought my boat about a month ago, and got my package from FPC this week.
    I'd check with the dealer.

When I bought my boat, I received a whole package of information from FRP about a month after the purchase was complete.....I'd check with the dealer (Stealer?)

Yep, same here with my 2007. Within a month I received 3 warranty letters from FPC. Same letter sent 3 times.

Re: BRP 7 YEAR WARRANTY (Won Hunglo)

Thanks, that is what I thought, but dealer swore up and down I had the 7 year warranty. The reason I am concerned is when I bought my boat the 7 year warranty offer had expired, but he said he would hold the warranty registration until later in the year when the 7 year warranty would start again and that he had ran this by the BRP rep and got his ok. Then, late last year when the 7 year warranty offer started again, he said they had it all taken care of and I expected to get the policy in the mail, it has never arrived but again he swears I have the extended warranty.

Could I call the extended warranty holder and see if they have a record of it?

I wonder if someone checks your serial number in in Bomb's puter if the warranty would be flagged?

Here is my serial # if someone can check it and see if indeed I do have the extended warranty.

    SN# 05160362, 2007 225 ETEC HO

    Thanks in advance.

Re: BRP 7 YEAR WARRANTY (Z21ROD)

Unless you mis-typed the serial, 5160362 comes up as an unregistered unit. "Technically" until proof of purchase is provided, your factory warranty isn't in effect.

The FPC contract usually shows up in the BRP system too, but at this time its a blank screen. Unfortunately, it appears somebody dropped the ball, hopefully it can be cleared up...

you should recieve verification of your warranty, anything anyone says you have on your boat, they should be able to have some type of proof of it. Paper work is everyones back up. !

Re: BRP 7 YEAR WARRANTY (The Parts Chicklet)

I talked to the dealer yesterday and he stated that they had been made aware of the problem last week and were working on it and they didn't know how it happened, so at least they have admitted something happened.
