I have a 05 zx225 and want to install my new 522c in the flush mount area, I ordered the kit from lowrance and opened the bow and there is nothing to anchor it to. Has anyone done this install?

Probably have to anchor it to the mold that is there now and not the boat. In my opinion, you wasted money on the kit and could have used a few drop of silicone around it or may be some 3M doubled sided tape. Some people have made their own brackets. In my boat (SX190) they used some double side tape for the units. Never had a problem and wasn't hard to take out when needed.

I was shocked to see that the Lowarance units in the SX190's are only held in by some kind of grey looking silicone type stuff. Doesnt seem very secure, but I guess it works.
Looked to be some kind of 2 side tape. At least if someone steal them, they wouldn't tear up the console.

I've seen several units held in by 2 sided tape, RAM mounts offer more flexibility though...
