I heard Skeeter has a 12" hydraulic just like our manual but it is black. It is for their salt water boats.

I concur. Same set up I have and it's perfect.

Do NOT try it without the spacers, they make all the difference in the world.

Detwiler makes a nice looking alol in one unit. Does anybody have any experience with these? Also I remeber a post about the Bob's plates - where a couple of guys actually lost thier motors because there was no safety stop on the Bob's plates - if you jacked them to high. Is this really an issue?

The new plates come with a travel stop to eliminate that problem.
