I gotta ask.. why? I mean, if your a pro and getting paid to have that stuff on your boat its one thing, but why would the average fisherman want it? I'm not slamming it, just curious as to why. I had much rather see a boat thats been ordered from the factory with a sharp looking color scheme.
I'm just courious,,, yes I wonder why too,, the color scheme i have is absolutly beautifull never would i cover it up
I don't know where one would get that done, but i want to say someone on here mentioned that it was a couple grand or so. I already paid way to much for my boat to go and cover it up for a couple grand.I would use that extra money for upgrades and equipment.

Oh i agree,, I need a new Graph/GPS and thats going to be $1500 or so
If I had 2 grand to spend on my rig I would be talking the guys at Hydrotec![]()
I have to be honest,, not exactly sure what they do![]()
who, Hydrotec? Lets just put it this way.. they make Yamaha's go fastcheck out http://www.yamaha-rebuild.comand look at their phase kits.
I'd let a sponsor wrap my boat for a $300 a month fuel allowance!![]()
Benjamin Franklin, 1759 - "Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well armed lamb contesting the vote."
There's an outfit locally that'll wrap your boat, truck or car. I think it is around $1.5 to $2K depending on what you want.
But, and this is the BIG butt, he can do any kind of grafix you want. Doesn't have to be a sponsor or product. He could take an Ansel Adams print and wrap your boat and truck in it if you so desired. If you think about it it would add a small layer of protection over the original color scheme, thus protecting it until you decided to peel it and see the original color scheme!
Of course I would never even think about covering up the colors on my Skeeter:

Does anybody know anybody who has done either phase Hydrotec? I wonder what kind of lasting effect it will have on the motor.
If I didn't have to get one of those engagement ring things I wouldn't be scared to put one on. Then we could suck the paint off wanabepro's ranger.
I don't know where we are, but we are making darn good time.
A buddy of mine had a boat that had a phase kit on it, not sure which phase it was but he says it didnt compromise the motors integrity at all. I've actually read where in some cases they can actually get a little better fuel economy after having it done. I emailed them asking about what it would do to an extended warranty and they told me their kits wont void the warranty, but could affect it a little.. whatever that means. I took it as if its their part that broke Yammie wont fix it, but if something stock messed up then your OK.
SJ, you just want to void all those warranties.![]()

no no no.. no way in heck that I want to void that 5 year extended warranty on my hammer. Thats why I emailed Hydrotec and asked them, I've really got the itch to do the phase 1 kit, but if it was going to jeopordize my warranty then I was just going to live with being slowBTW, they told me that the phase 1 would bump my 150 up to about 180hp

I bet you never would have thought that you wanted a new boat and motor to be 5 yrs. old quick.
It just can't get here fast enough.
