    R91 wet rod locker

my 98 R91 rod locker seem s to always be damp, is it supposed to be a dry locker? the smaller locker in front of the console seems to stay dry.

Are all of your seals around the rim of the rod locker good.....................it is a "Rod Storage" not a dry storage area ...................It shouldn't be getting wet though.......................RR

I have checked the seal and even repositioned it with adhesive. I just know from experience that reels sitting on wet carpet for long periods of time can have the finish come off of them.

It is probably the seal on the rub rail. It could be the latch seal but why would that one be leaking and not the rest?
I have seen the rub rail cause it before. It doesn't seem like it could but it happens.

The bow panel isn't water tight, but when water does enter it drains to the bilge. If if gets wet when it's not raining you can eliminate the lock. Probably the seam where the cap and hull are mated under the rubrail. See if the sealant is missing where the rubrail is attached.
