    Fishing Ability

I had a problem with the fishing platform. I went for a test drive with a pro and the boat performed awesome! 76-72 mph in a nice chop and a smooth ride. Now the boat is loaded with options that are standard which beats every other boat on the market!

The one problem I had with the boat is when we stopped to fish for about 15 minutes the boat tipped or listed alot while moving on it. Maybe it is just me, I weigh a good 225 lbs but my old Ranger I had 520 didnt move at all in rough water or when fishing or walking back and forth! This has got me hessitant to buy as of now!
I know this, as good as it rides, it needs to fish better or have a more stable platform while fishing, I want to spend my time fishing not going 77 mph for 6 hours!
If any one else has input on this please let me know i am not just a Ranger guy I realy want this boat, but that is a big down fall for me!

It may help if you list what boat you test drove.

I have a 618 and feel like it is the best fishing platform I've ever owned. I weigh 270 and my partner weighs 264. During our normal trips, we spend by far more time fishing than riding and have never felt as though the boat was leaning too far or was uncomfortable to fish out of in any way.

+1. I weigh 280 and all of my partners are over 200 lbs. I never once thought the fishing platform wasn't stable. Maybe it's just a matter of opinion...??

I owned a 721 for three seasons. very stable platform. The only boat that I have fished from, that was more stable, is my 921.

I am 280 and fish in 2-4 footers just about every weekend. Never felt uncomfortable or unstable in my 721. If you want to come up for a ride or a day on some rough water fishing let me know

Hank, when you come down here, I'm going to have to carry a ratchet strap to secure you to your seat! The good news is, I won't need a very strong one!

I just realized when me and Nick fish together, our combined weight is 610.

Add at least another 100lbs for gear, and another 45 lbs for lunch! Our boats have some big coolers!

I have always thought the Phoenix was one of the most stable platforms I have ever been in. You might take a look at the 921, it is quite a bit wider than the 721 and should be what you are looking for.

Im going to be completely honest and call BS on your post. I weight 235 and my partner is the same and we dont feel each other at all. The boat stays almost perfectly level the entire time.

I would understand if you said something like "it felt narrow at the very front" or something else more reasonable but to say it lists all over the place is absolutely crazy and false. I understand people trolling and liking one boat over another for whatever reason, but to just blurt out false statements that I know for a fact are false just makes you......... well a troll.

I have fished out of 520's and the Z20 and Z19 and my phoenix is as stable if not more stable.

    Wow...seriously?

The guy said he likes the boat, he wants to have one, he likes the speed of the boat, hes just asking about the stability of it, because "TO HIM" it felt tippy or listed a little more then hes used to. There is not a bassboat on the market today that a 225lb man when walking from one side to the other doesnt make the boat list to that side, now it may only be an inch or two of listing but it does move.

    Re: Fishing Ability (bulldogext)

I have read the original post twice now and nowhere have seen the brand bulldog is referring to. Can't be talking about Phoenix from my experience- I'm pretty fluffy along with usual partners- and never have a stability problem. If so, it would be hard for me to stand all day with the balance problem I have.

    LOVE MY PHOENIX!!!
