    First Test Drive

yesterday in a 721. I could not have asked for better conditions even though the dealer picked the day. the wind was blowing 20-25mph and there was lots of rough water, just what i wanted. The ride was very impressive, smooth given the conditions and exactly what I wanted to see. Power was from a 250 ProXS, a very nice combination. I saw 72 on the GPS even with no experience in a Phoenix, no set up (deler demo) and rough water.

Overall it was a great test drive, the dealer is supposed to call me today with a price.

One thing I noticed that can probably be explained as something new to me that I need to get used to (Phoenix boats) is when we were fishing, (yes i insisted on fishing from a boat I plan to buy) when the dealer moved from the back deck to the front with me on the TM, we seemed to lean a bit. And before you ask, we were both about 210-220

    Re: First Test Drive (Kromer)

Kromer, I am so glad that you brought this subject up, I thought I was the only one. I went for a test drive with a pro and the boat performed awesome! 76-72 mph in a nice chop and a smooth ride.

The one problem I had with the boat is when we stopped to fish for about 15 minutes the boat tipped or listed alot while moving on it. Maybe it is just me, I weigh a good 225 lbs but my old Ranger I had 520 didnt move at all in rough water or when fishing or walking back and forth! This has got me hessitant to buy as of now!

I know this, as good as it rides, it needs to fish better or have a more stable platform while fishing, I want to spend my time fishing not going 77 mph for 6 hours!
If any one else has input on this please let me know i am not just a Ranger guy I realy want this boat, but that is a big down fall for me right now.
