    Problem with Etec 225 HO?

    Model # E225DHLSDF
    Serial # 05136535

I have a 225 E-tec HO that has gotton hard to crank. Sometime it takes 4-5 times to get the engine to fire up. Was no that way when I got it. Also when you have the engine up to around 1200 rpms in gear is seems to miss or cut out. Just had the latest update on the computer and dealer told me it would run like new, but nothing has changed. Is this normal or do I need service. Motor has around 30 hours on it I think.

Re: Problem with Etec 225 HO? (mlsmith)

Have your dealer check to see that the engine is warming up to proper operating temperature at idle. The spark plugs may be fouled. Your dealer has access to a bulletin that adresses that issue.
