    Jack plate and prop set-up

I have a 97 Stratos 282 with a 97 johnson 150 fast strike. Tournament load it runs about 55mph at 54-5500 rpms, and when out just fun fishing I'll see speeds in the low 60s. I'm looking to add a jack plate to increase speed. I've been looking at the Stratos page on here and have seen people running jack plates anywhere from 6-10in. I'm just curious what led you to decide what size you needed and the set up you have running that size jack plate. Any advice would be great!

6 "will be all you need & a good 24 raker original all though low 60s will probably be all you get.

What he said...plus set the prop to pad height at 3.5" or 3.25"
