From Factory
Left one is the JP gauge other, one is Smart craft gauge
The way I converted mine when I got a HDS 10 and moved the built in 8 to the bow.
Jeff was so kind as to send me a new blank to put where the gauges used to be.!!

does the hds 8 fit in bow or have to ram mount
HDS 8 will not fit in the bow flush mounted, but it can be ram mounted, which I did not do with mine. Configured and made a custom mount using its own hardware put where it would be flush mounted. Just in case you are interested here are a few pics. Oh there is a aluminum back plate on the back side of the bow panel. Made sure it was not going any where without the front end of the boat. All 8? of the bolts that hold the unit as well as the plexiglass grew threw that aluminum plate
