    202 deck extension

Does anyone know where I can find one? I'd like the factory one, there was one for sale on Craigslist for months before I had my new boat. Thanks! Paul

The factory deck extensions were usually just a carpeted box which fit on top of the step-up cooler, Is that what you want? We have a bunch of talented guys here who have built their own...and they look factory only better....

The one I saw for sale was aluminum, my boat does not have a step up cooler.
I'm a carpenter, so building one from wood then fiberglassing it is an option, but a heavy option. I was just hoping I might luck out and find one of the factory aluminum ones.

Very neat. Have never seen it before. Factory made for Champions? I have brochures from 1985 to 2009. That is not in any of them, sadly.

Perhaps it's not factory then, I just assumed it was because it looked to be high quality aluminum like the deck lids.

Oh well, I guess I'll have to build one this winter.

Pretty sure it's not, since, when I asked the factory a few years ago, they said the only one was what I described above. Post pictures of the progress. Might help other folks....

As far as I know, this is the factory insert. My 201 had one just like it. MMosher's uncle builds them

Not listed as an option anywhere. I know Matt's uncle builds/built great lids and extensions for Champions upon request, but I don't know that they were ever sold as a factory option??? Matt!!!

No clue, Reggie. As I said...I have never seen it in a brochure as an option. That does not mean it is not in any brochure, but I have not found it in any options list.

When i ordered the 1998 202. elite they offered one. It was great. I have always wanted one for my 2001 but they were not a option than. I got all my boats from Fun and Sun in Cleburne Texas and they had the deal on all things Champion.

Hey dezracer, any chance you were able to get any information about this deck extension? I am looking for one myself. Thanks.

walsweeper19, you realize dezracer1466 made that post a couple of years ago.

The information in my post #9 should still be good. I think that is MMosher's uncle(?). He can verify if they would build you one. Funny ... if you Google "champion boat deck insert" there are 3 shots of my 201 in the top row, including the one in the post above hiched up to my Yukon.

Lol yeah I saw that it was a couple years ago. I figured I would see if he was able to get one made or whether he ended up making one himself.

Looking at his profile, he hasn't been on BBC since Oct 2016. Looks like you can email him through his BBC profile.
