Test drove a Phoenix 721 last friday and was very impressed with the whole boat. A rough water ride that made me realize that my Skeeter is not quite as smooth in rough conditions as I thought it was. 2.5-3 ft waves on Livingston and this boat just cut right through with no side to side movements...no slapping against the hull...just a boat ride. When I turned the boat to run with the waves I purposely got it airborn (it took 55 mph running with waves to make it happen) just to see how it felt. The landing was very soft and more like it slipped back into the water then landed. I tried 3 times and each one was just as smooth.
Everything about this boat is for fishing. Tons of storage. No wasted space.
Fished out of it for about 30 mins and can easily say that the deck on this boat is as stable as my skeeter. Which in my mind says a ton. I plan to look at it a couple more times before I make a decision...but right now, if I had make a choice between the two...I say Phoenix.
