Anyone have changes you would like to see in a Legend?

There are now pictures of the 2012 Cragar Illusion Wheel Upgrade on the Legend Face Book page. That is a Beautiful Boat! BUT, I am Definately not a fan of those new style of rims!

I would like to see Composite Fenders with 20's and a new style step up between the seats! (Composite or Fiberglass with cup holders and storage)

See me and this guy are on the same page. Slick clean style not random and out of place. I think the new wheels are pretty bad. I have been on the center console for two years. One like the center step in the new z520 would add alot to the inside of the boat. What about a 20 foot 2 inch rated for a 250 with a 98 inch beam with the width carried to the front of the rod lockers , standard duel fuel tanks for weight balance, put a hole in the floor behind the cooler that will fit a spare prop. Do away with the passage rod storage so there is full rear storage. That would be the ultimate tournament boat. It would have best of everything the fishability of a 520(loyal legend owner but still the best fishing boat ever), and the ride fit and finish of the the legend we all love. I think it would be the flagship of the line.

I wasn't a fan of the 20" wheels when I saw the pictures initially. I think they looked pretty ridiculous. Even when I bought my boat that came with 20's I thought they were a bit over the top for me for the first 5 minutes, but now, I am cleaning those suckers and there is no way I would take them off. They look so good in person. Definately turns heads.

I'm on the fence about those cragers though, but in person I bet the look allot better.

I'm hoping to find a good fiberglass guy to make some changes to the layout on the inside of my LE21 that will enclose the optional 3rd pedastol, and add a step to the deck that I will use as a day box. Currently that whole piece on my boat lifts up so my partner can stick his tackle bag in there. Also hoping to upgrade the dash with touch pad and newer version of consoles. Going to be allot of work.

I agree with you Josh, I think something comparible to the step up on the Ranger would add some Bling to the Legend and be funtional!

The step on the Z520 is what I'm trying to get added to my boat, but I want the top deck to extend back to the console and I want the step to be glassed in with a lid so I can have storage underneath it. I'm hoping a good fiberglass can match match my current colors and make it look factory.

I agree on the center step being similar in design to the one on the 520. That would be a good addition.

Josh is spot on with his suggestions.. I currently have the Illusion trailer on my 211.. However if or when I order a new rig if that is those new wheels are all thats available for the Illusion option I won't be paying for that.. Just flat out ugly IMO..

I have the new middle console box I installed this year on my rig and yes it is nice for step purposes.. Not sold on the rest of it though.. Ranger's has it nailed with the way theirs is done..

more storage and I've already put the step up seat in my Alpha 211.

Seperate switches and pumps for the livewells. Not a big fan of cable switches.

Totally agree with Josh about the center seat-step-storage box. Also, how about centering up the seats with the back of the consoles. From looking at the overhead pictures it looks like the steering wheel is far to the right of the center of your chest-body when sitting in the driver's seat. Passenger side-please extend rear storage box and lid back to same size as driver's side. Why waste the space and loose the storage for the passenger rod ramp slot? If the passenger doesn't like it tell him to buy his own boat and get out. I'm seriously considering buying a new boat soon. Legend is on my very short list. Call me stupid if you like, but, I can't see dropping this kind of money unless I'm totally satisfied with the boat. Thanks. P.S.--you can also keep the gangland style wheels and make mine tandem 15 inchers.

I think it is impossible to please everyone in the layout of a boat. Everybody has different tastes on looks and the features they want. I totally agree that you should be as happy as possible when spending that kind of money for a boat. Everyone should do their own research and get the boat that they will be satisfied with.

I think legend does a great job at giving everybody the chance to choose what they want on their boat. I love the 20 in rims (I know not everyone does), but you have the choice to go with smaller ones if that is what you like. I also love the passenger rod slot. I think that is one of the best ideas I have seen on a bassboat.

I do agree that the center step is a good idea, although the way it is now is ok with me also. I am having that first cooler/box carpeted for extra storage.

For those that have never had one, the passenger side rod locker is something that most boats should look into. If you look on the passaenger side of most boats, you can find a scratched up spot-- the spot that the passengers rod guides bang on when your driving or running down the lake. The side rod locker ends that.

I second that. The one improvement I would have for the 199 is to add this pass rear rod box.

The other thing I would LOVE Legend to produce is a true Fish & Ski. They have one of the best Hull designs out right now. Take a 211 or 199 hull and build a top cap for it. Only produce one model and build them on a limited number. The competition is way over-priced and most of them focus on ski, not fishing.

I would like to see a true 20 footer capable of running a 250. Something in-between the 199 and 211.

Do away with the rope lighting and go to led strips like Bluewater that put out higher amounts of light.

Change the center seat to more of a storage step up with just a single pivot point to access the cooler.

Livewell Pump out without having to pull the valve. Minor but eh, would be nice.

As soon as I get it back with a new power head from my SHO Blower I'll send a pic. I ordered it after the fact from Legend for $100
