    Drivers side won't drain

I've got a 95 Intimidator that gets water in the drivers side rod box. It's kept outside and the canvas cover tends to pool water on that side. I imagine that's where the water is coming in. I've tried numerous ways to unplug the drain hole it to no avail. Coat hangers, snakes and even a brazing rod. Other than vacuuming it out, it won't drain. There is approximately 3" of water in there. I can deal with occasion water getting in there on heavy rains, but it's not draining really bothers me. It's getting time to put her away for the winter and don't want any water damage. This boat is new to me and any help would be really appreciated.

You may have some lead weights lodged in there or some sort of debris. What I did for my clog was force some water through. Start on the floor and push back to the locker. It worked for me.

Have you tried a large shop vac over your drain and see if it pulls something out?

Yup, tried the shop vac. got the water out, but still doesn't drain. I attached a hose that would fit into drain and still no luck. just more water. Does anyone know if the water that drains from the rod box come out by the hoot foot drain hole?????? I can suck water from both holes. The probes goes in plenty but nothing drains. I spent about 3 hours screwing with this today.

If you have someting lodged in there, you are going to need to use high pressure water. If you don't have one or access to one then I suggest taking it to the car wash and give it a shot. I'd start with the one at the hot foot and if it doesn't shoot up through the locker then I'd give it a shot down from the locker.

I would try to use some compressed air. Get an air gun attachment and blow the compressed air in the drain tubing.

    Good luck
