    I need a torquemaster with a 25" shaft 1.75

So I messed up my lower unit and i need one. Torquemaster 1.75 25". I have a 2000 250Merc pro xb. When I bought the boat, it came under proped with a 24p trophy. I heard that 26p to 27p would get me to the range that i need to be in, but I was told to try a 3 blade fury. Any thoughts? Also, my boat is a 2200 with no trim tabs. I want to install tabs, but i dont know what kind to get or where to get them from.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

are you sure you don't need a 20 inch shaft? I am not too far from you in Winchester... Do you have the cut outs for the trim tabs? I can help you install them if need be. Yes, the 26 or 27 trophy is what you need, more the27 than anything, also you need to look at the 28 bravo 1, with dual pvs holes, or one 1 inch hole since you don't have any tabs just yet?

Who told you you needed a 25 inch shaft though? I could be completely wrong... but i thought the 20 inch would be better.

Seems odd that you need a 25" shaft.

I might be wrong here.... but if you take off those "5 inches" and go to a shorter shaft, you will pick up power and speed.... which will mean you will need a higher pitch prop.

LD correct me if im wrong, the shorter the shaft the more power you will gain correct? Double check your shaft length tho my friend? I believe the shaft is usually a 1/2 inch or 1 inch longer than what its suppose to be my default.

I'm sure he has a 20" if its a stock replacement.

Or you could just raise it. Power is power no mater what and cant be gained or lost on shaft length. Usable power is something different and hypothetically if he has a 25" I doubt he could even get on plane with a 22" prop. Having a shorter shaft will not increase power and speed or guys with gamblers would be running SS 15" lowers.

For that 2200 with no tabs your going to want a prop that's built for a 2200 gambler. I wouldn't bother with a 26 or 27" stock trophy prop. I've heard good things about the fury prop on gamblers. If i had still had mine I would try one out for sure.
