While my brother was taking delivery on his new Stratos/Etec150 the dealer mentioned that he was not going to sell the small block 200hp because of the dissapointing performance. He claims that tunning the small block to 200hp at 5300 rpms sacrifices too much low end torque thus the motor does not "feel" fast. I was curious what the real world performance characteristics are of these two motors? There must be boat applications where a lighter 200hp motor is better than the 175 or a heavier 200.
