1996 Venom Head part number question

My buddy is rebuilding a 96 200 Venom and has heads with part number 340839. He cant seem to find that number as being correct any help thanks.

Part number is 436892, the number on the head is most likely not a part number.

according to the parts catalog on BRP your cylinder head ( where the spark plugs go) is #0436892 CYLINDER HEAD they may have changed the number but if you call your dealer they will know if superseded by another number

My tech and I ran the part#340839 with his program and it came up cylinder head at a cost of $387.00 but it didn't give us any other info on it.He determend that it is a 48cc head. I don't know if it is the right head for my motor or even if it is the right power head.

Is there any where on the block that I can find the model number?
Is there any way to run the ser# to see if it has been changed?

There is a plug or should be on the back of the motor just below where there is a V-6 molded in the exhaust hump, IF that number matches the serial number on the swivel bracket tag then it is the original powerhead and we can get you the Warranty information.

Can't find any number any were insight.
Checked for the number on the plug but there isn't one.

I can run the number he posted but it will only give me what was done while it was in warranty.

The only warranty claim was filed on 10-1996 for a key switch.
