Depends on what you are looking for. The worked Tempest I would think would be a few mph faster. The Throphy may be a little better out of the hole and better mid-range, maybe a little easier to drive. If you have power steering they should both be easy to drive.
I have heard that some have started running the Fury but I can't give input on those. Never had one on the boat.
I run a 26 Throphy on my 225efi. 80% of the time I am not on a lake big enough to run over 70mph without running out of room so it works better for me.
Time behind the wheel will help you with chinewalk, also try not trimming motor so high, or in some cases to low. In time you find the sweet spot![]()
I agree with Gambler1.
The Gambler is a little different boat to drive. Just takes time to get the hang of it. The trick is engine trim and get a feel for the boat so you can make adjustments before the chine walk gets to bad.
That being said, the Trophy is normally a little better about chine walk.
You may also may need to try changing your engine height.
my dad has the exact set up...same motor, same boat, and same year....well until he traded motors with me...
anyways, his favorite stock prop was the 27 trophy plus...since then he's run the 27 fury, which is about maybe .5 (1/2) mph faster...again these are stock props...
the 27 trophy was the best all around out of the box he had...
Since then, we had the 27 FURY worked...

Well not really comarible now, because he's upgraded motors...now has a 250XS on it, and needed the bigger blade of the fury, but after getting it worked, i'd say that prop is the best he's run on that boat...
the FURY was faster out of the box pitch for pitch with the TROPHY, but the trophy was a BETTER ALL ROUND prop out of the box...you definately are going to want a 27 pitch with YOUR intimidator...
you'll beep your REV limiter till it puts your engine in GUARDIAN mode with a 26...

What's your prop to pad height? How many rpm are you turning your prop?
2002 gambler 2100
2008 250 proxs
somethings wrong with your setup then...
5800 is the rev limiter on it, and with the 26Fury, my dad could turn it 6,000 if we held into it after the beeps...

Like I said I'm still getting used to it. I have tried the motor height at different heights. But not knowing exactly how to drive thru chine I get nervous and back down. So far right at 70 is the fastest I've been
Trust me when you learn to drive it,(and you will in time) you will be grinnin ear to ear when you get it up on the"pad" . oh what a feelin it is![]()
I would say you need to to raise the motor. To deep in the water will cause chine walk. Or loose steering that is why I now have the Hy. Steering.

I like the bravo1 worked by Croxton on my Intimidator. Top speed is good easy to drive. The hole shot is awesome.
if you've got a bobs hydraulic JP, run it on 3 to 3.25....any lower and you'll get swirly...the FURY likes to be a touch higher like 3.5...also might want to check to see if you've got a torquemaster LOWER UNIT...if not you're in for a treat first time you hit 76mph...and i believe it makes it a lil easier to get through the chine...
Key to the chine walk is very small corrections, and keeping the boat balanced...also, unless you need a full tank of gas for a TOURNEY, keep your gas tank around 1/2 full...

didnt he have the 250xs on there when i was there?

Definitely the Croxton worked BRAVO I !!!! best setup I have tried to date with a rocket holeshot, 4 wheel drive mid range, and great top end. Fury might be 2 or 3mph faster on top end, but with your setup you should see upper 70's for sure...That's what I get with a 225 pro xs and croxtonized Bravo I. The secret is the dual PVS holes he puts in.....gets her spinning damn quick ! Best hole shot of any boat I've owned with this prop.
