KNIGHTRIDER is regrouping....

after a long 23 hour listing under the MOTORS forum of BBC, KNIGHTRIDER'S 1996 225 EFI is no-longer attached to his hip...
I put the 1996 powerhouse up for sale at 2:44pm on Monday the 5th and at 11:00 am on Tuesday did the deal in person...at 1:35pm watched the 225 head down the driveway with a cool dude named "RUSTY"....
Rusty is going to be putting her on a 21 ft flats boat to be used in FL/GULF waters...

Now i'm looking for a 250 in the 05-08 year, in the XS, PRO-XS series....

You'll love the xs or pro xs, Ran my 225 promax for about 2 yrs and i want to hug my
optimax after seeing the difference in fuel economy. Good luck on the new motor.

i did...nothing used...and i just dont see putting a NEW motor on a 2003 boat...it will not carry the value to resale...
keep your fingers crossed, just found a decent 2005 250 XS...

ACTUALLY....
I bought a 2005 250 XS...Since we fish most of our TEAM tournaments out of my dad's INTIMIDATOR 2000, i put it on his...
WE took his 2002 EFI 225 MERCURY and put on mine...
Took to the water this afternoon for a short test ride in the rain after our CLUB tourney this morning...
WOW....i mean...WOW...
had absolutley NO trouble getting on plane with this motor...
didn't have throttle cable adjusted exactly right, and with the rain, i only made 1 attempted pass, before hitting some SKI boat waves...
WILL be back on the water Tuesday...the 250 comes in on Monday and we plan to install on the back of his and test them both out again....
