Pro ET broke!

Was out pre fishing for a tournamnet yesterday and while I was putting the motor toter on the engine I noticed that my beloved Pro ET had a cracked blade I didnt hit anything, and the crack is on the trailing edge and goes about half way throught the blade about 3" from the tip. Of course the Merc warranty is out but one call to Mark and he said he could fix it right up. The guys at Merc said that the blades sometimes crack like that from stress of the prop surfacing........but this prop is supposed to run surfacing?? Guess it is a good way to sell more props.

I have known that this prop, a Pro ET 28p, had more left in it, as it runs too many RPM's so I guess now Mark can tweak it and get the most from it. If the numbers change dramatically I will let yall know. Righ now the prop is on a 2200/300XS combo. One person 3/4 gas and loaded with all gear 85.4 and it bumps the rev limiter. Two people, full gas and tackle 84.2 at 6150 RPM. This was the run the day the prop broke.

it happens with ET's and Trophy's all the time and has happened to me. I have had better luck with a Hydro.. they seems stronger.

Yes the Hydros are great props I have one but Mark has worked on it numerous times and I cannot get it to run over 80 on my setup, it ran faster on my 2200/250 setup than on this one. For whatever reason Mark has not hit the number on this prop for my 300. I just quit trying.
