    Gambler project boat

    I saw this on the Maryland Bass Federation board, thought it might make a good project for someone

    he say's "motor started making a knocking noise"...what could that be?..how serios a problem would you guys guess that is?...is something major about to blow??

    Heres what Im thinking.

    That hull and trailer combo cost about $1,100 new, in 1993.

    The Motor was probably $8,000 new.

    Now, he is thinking he has a blown motor, and isnt willing to invest a whole lot of money to repower a 15 year old boat.

    He says it was on the wayer in November, so you would think the hull is in decent shape. It IS a clean looking boat.

    Anybody that has access to an older motor, or the skills to fis this one could make a killing on this rig!

    yes...

    I remember pricing one in 1991.
    The dealer told me the hull was $10,000 and I just about crapped my pants.

    I had paid only $12,500 for my 1984 rig...ready to put in the water.

    A fully rigged gambler in 1991 was around $25,000!!

    Man if that was close, I'd have a real hard time not taking a closer look, could pobably get a real good look at it if it was in my shed
