Has the dealer verified that the motor is going to full throttle and that the linkage at the motor and the hot foot is adjusted properly?
Al thanks for the reply I have put it on the computer and ever thing checks out right I don't know about the throttle linkage. Someone told me that preston had 2 ecu go bad but i don't know how his boat run when it was bad. also it is dead out of the hole takes a while to get to full throttle.

there were a lot of ecu's on that model that needed to be reflashed....there was a group of serial numbers that was involved in the service bulletin...a dealer should be able to find them for you...they were posted on this board at one time...but i cant seem to find them... definitly something wrong....could be like al said... linkage could be off...it happens a lot...

LD thakns for the reply would the linkage make it fill sluggies all the way to wot
Hey Spencer clad to have you aboard.. What took you so long ????
As you and I have talked over the phone I would have your dealer update the ECU. If that don't solve the problem and everything else checks out including your injectors I would have a leak-down test done it could be the rings are tired and need to be replaced..
Have him check the Map sensor and IAT sensor (Air Sensor) to make sure they are working properly.. They tell the computer what to do.. If they are giving a false reading it could be making your computer run the motor to rich or to lean..
It could be several things a very good certified Master Tech will be able to find it and fix it..
I wish you could get it up here to European Marine, Don is very good and will find your problem...
if its sluggish all the way through the rpm band, it probably isnt the linkage...it could be a lot of things...including the ecu, and all of the items terry listed, along with maybe fuel rails, injectors, and a bunch of other stuff....you need a good master mechanic, that is willing to hunt your problem down...i will see if i can find those serial numbers for ya...
