    Mercury Fury

Anyone know anything about the new Mercury Fury prop? Although its only available in 24, 25, & 26 pitches, it sounds like a hot one to check out.

From BASS Times. Mercury touts a 12 percent increase in acceleration and 1.4 mph faster at top speeds versus conventional stainless props of the same pitch. Its composed of Mercury's proprietary X7 alloy. For 135 hp and above. 19 spline fat shaft?

It's a flo-torq square bore so it will accept the fat shaft hub kit..

No reason to bolt up a prop that would be on the limiter in a few seconds...

    Re: Mercury Fury (21XDC)

Mike I just saw the Fury prop posts over on the other forums. I agree the 26 pitch might be a problem with hitting the limiter. I also have to wonder, if this prop is anything like the Trophy's you really never know what pitch you really have. I hope the new X7 alloy will help the questionable pitch problems. Since we normally send Mark our props anyway, couldn't Mark blue print the prop and tweak it close to a 28 if needed? Ah, the need for speed

He can only repitch the outer parts of the blades. Not the root pitch. So he can muster up 1 inch of pitch max and keep it efficient.

Understand. I'd like to try one. What do you think? KVD must be running that Nitro about 80 plus now if you listen to him brag about that prop.
