    Repowering

After I knocked off my TM lu last month I have decided to go ahead and repower my '01 Intimidator. My old motor is a 225 EFI and I am going with a 225 Pro XS. The motor was hung today and should be ready to start breaking in this weekend (that is if I could convince my 6 yr old to go fishing for his b'day as opposed to deer hunting). I have been running a Powertech TR04 27 P on my boat up until now. This prop was putting me consistently around 81 +/- under ideal conditions with a light load and 78-79 with a tournament load. However, I was staying on the EFI's rev limiter with the TR04.

I would like to know what results others are getting with this combination and what prop recommendations anyone might have for this motor.

    Thanks

    Chris

Wonder how much the dealer would ask for the engine with no lower unit.

I am not sure. I believe they have a lu they are going to put on it to resale.

By the way, I am still hoping someone out there can give me some prop advice on the 225 pro xs.

    Re: Repowering (cpappas)

The 27 TRO4 should work fine on the 225 Pro xs as the limiter is much higher on the Pro xs vs the standard Opti 225..
    I run a 27 TRO4 and a worked 28 Trophy on my 2100 with a 225 Pro xs...

    Re: Repowering (carolina killer)

What kind of speed are you seeing with your tr04? How many rpm's are you turning it?

    thanks
