I repowered my 97 intimidator with a 225 3L and have been running a 27 tepest and it is a good prop but i have a 26 worked trophy that i want to try am i going to have the same problems with a 4 blade and the 3L that i had with the 2.5 with motor not pushing the boat on the trailer or does the 3L have enough torque to push it on the trailer?
I have a buddy that had a 99 intimidator with a 225 EFI 3.0L & trophy prop........he loaded the boat on the trailer without problems.
thanks. thats what i thought the 200 PM that i had would not spin the trophy up on the trailer
I'M running a trophy on a 3.0l I can't push the boat on the trailer all the way. I run it up close and pull it up with the winch. On my old boat that had a 2.5l it did the same thing. What speed did you get out of the tempest.
i am running 79.8 Gps Loaded and can push the truck on the ramp. the holeshot is good in the morning as it gets hot it lags just a little but the prop is diged a little on one ear so i am going to have it worked a little. i know everyone is high on the 4 blades but i just cant get used to them or find one that works for me the tempest has always been faster than any 4 blad i have tried.
