    96 Johnson 200 Jet size

Can someone give me the stock main jet sizes for the 200 and the 225 on the 1996 3 liter block?

I think it is 65D but I would go with a 67D in #2 carb.

When I checked them this weekend, it has #72 D in all 6 with the tit on the plug. Plugs look good, nice medium golden brown. It`s a 1996 Johnson Limited edition, I thought that maybe the 225`s had larger jets than the 200`s. As the general concensus is that the Limited editions were 225`s badged as 200's.

Well, the obvious thing to me is the incorrect jets are in the motor to start with IN STOCK FORM.... The thing I WOULD DO is find out what jets are suppose to be in it, barring nothing has been changed such as carbs, THEN go up the 2 jet sizes like cm said.....

As near as I can figure, the Special Editions were HO's!

Re: 96 Johnson 200 Jet size (OrygunBasser)

I knew I read this before and researched the archives about cylinder #2, just to be sure on my own motor J225HO, this is only the high speed jet that we change up two sizes, correct? Also, by richening up the mix there to help cool do we get any performance degradation and or expect slightly more visible signs on plug #2?

Thanks for the heads up, I will pop mine this weekend to see if it has been done or not.

It helps cool that cylinder, and no, you shouldn't see any change in the performance....
