Was it making any noise before it quit? Couple weeks ago, mine started to make some noise, like a ticking sound. Heard the ticking coming from the dash, didn't know what it was. Turned the dial a tad, it went away. I'm hoping it's not going south on me.

no noise, mine just quit....i guess i'll take the panel off and see what im dealing with!
yes, any timer will basically work,should just have 3 wires,some maybe just configured a little different
yippppee yipppee....took the panel off and found that one of the wires had just come unplugged, all is good now!
