    G3 Boats Factory

A friend and I drove to Lebanon, MO to the Yamaha G3 plant to pick up my 2012 G3 Eagle 190 last Wednesday. I have to say that everyone there was very professional, helpful and courteous. They did exactly as promised, loaded the boat and trailer to my car, loaded the TM, spare tire, etc into my vehicle and did everything without being asked. Miss Judy, in sales, was very cordial and personally saw that everything went well for us. I highly recommend this group and their product. The plant campus was very pretty and clean. They had lots of people working according to the large parking lot full of vehicles. (that is a good thing in todays economy). Just wantd to give a heads up on the G3 facility.

No pics of the new rig? Good to hear about the plant. Yamaha doesn't mess around. They make quality engines and all their other products have a rock solid reputation as being top notch.

Re: G3 Boats Factory (burt's boater)

    Couple of questions.

    1. Thinking of buying a G3 Eagle 190 next year. Never had a G3 boat and was wondering what the ride is like in rough water.

    2. How does that work? Picking up your boat at the factory. Did you order through a dealer and just wanted to pick it up directly from the factory? Or can you bypass the dealer and order directly from the factory?

    3. General impression of G3 boats, ride, quality, customer service.

    Sorry to hijack this thread.

    Thanks

    Re: G3 Boats Factory (woppercatcher)

I've had three G3 boats and have been very satisfied with them. I have picked up at the plant once before. The dealer gave me credit for the freight charge on the boat so the trip was well worth it. G3 does not sell directly to the public. Frankly, I haven't had time to get my rig totally prepared for the first trip to the lake. Out of town and other things have kept me from getting to the water. Will be launching the week of 8/15 and will give a complete report after that. Have to mount a new on board charger since one bank just stopped working. Also, mounting one of the bass boat ladders, just in case I go overboard. I'm too old to get back in the boat without a ladder or a 'copter. Will give complete report and pics soon. All have a good week and stay cool.
