    TXP vs Lightning

I have always ran a 25' trophy on my 201 w/200 opti. It runs 60-61mph gps at 5400-5500 rpms. The 10 in jackplate is at 2.5in below the pad. This weekend I tried a 23 Turbo lightning and was amazed at the amount of bow lift. It ran the same speeds at 58-5900 rpms. I am thinking of ordering a 24 or 25 pitch Lightning, but before I do I was wondering if anyone else has ran one on a cobra? Also has anyone tried a Turbo TXP on the cobra? Can anyone tell me the main differences between the Lightning and the TXP?
    Thanks a lot

    Re: TXP vs Lightning (drakesdad)

I have run just about every prop you can run on a Cobra. I like the 25 Trophy and a 12" Jackplate. That is the best overall setup I have run. The fastest setup was a 27 TXP ot4 and a 27 overhub 4 blade spinelle with ET blades. It would hold 77mph with one person loaded and 75-74 with 2 people loaded. Holeshot was not as good though. That was with a 225 ProXS.
