I have heard of no issues with the Cobra installs. Just hanging around to see if there is something I should know.

This wasn't Backlash's (Larry's) boat. One of the guys here documented his install. I can't recall who it was.

    It was Me.

See the pin on the board. there is a link to the pictures.

The distance from the panel to the recess is personal pref. I actually set mine back a little to far, but it works. No real issues with the insatal, the foam is a pain, getting the drain line puched. Be sure to seal the edges around the tray.

    Enjoy,

    Larry

Scott, I also installed a recessed TM tray when I had my Cobra. Where you place it would just be personal preference. Measure twice and cut once. Underneath where the cut-out is there is nothing but foam floatation. To be on the safe side, if it would make you feel more secure, just remove the front bow panel and get a mirror to look around underneath the front deck. The biggest pain of the job is removing the foam floatation so your pedal fits down in there...I used an old practice target arrow to punch a hole down to the keel area where the drain tube goes so any water will then flow back toward the bilge area.

I thought I would be on Easy Street by now but somehow I missed the off ramp!

On my 190 there is a board about 2" from the forward dash. I had to start this far back to avoid this piece of wood.
