jack plate setup on a 201d cobra

i found these 4" setback brackets at bobs machine

could i use these and put the 6" hydrolic thats currently on to achieve the 10" setback i want and have on the fly adjustments safely ?

or should i just put my 10" manual jack from my old boat on ?

I used the 2 inch blocks and they worked alright but I think I would ask Bob's Technicians about the ones you are looking at. I would worry about the sideways movement?

Panther Marine makes a 4" Setback bracket that is safe to mount on transom and mount a hydrolic jackplate to, or mount a hydraulic jackplate to the transome then the bracket and then the motor. Depending on weight and prefered setup.
