20oz carpeting is correct.
I thought I would be on Easy Street by now but somehow I missed the off ramp!
I just replaced the carpet on my Dads Cobra and used 20 oz. carpet. Any heavier and I don`t think the lids would shut.
My carpet is almost 10 years old with a lot of deck time, and my lids are still very tight. JMO but I would not recommend any heavier either!
I am glad for this post. I was looking at the 24 0z Basscat carpet and now I need to regroup.
Where is the best place to get the 20 oz carpet?

Ordered mine from bassboatcarpet.com. Comes with instruction manual and knife with extra blades. I got the 8`x 25` carpet kit.
