buffing gel coat 1995 Viper 201D

This is the first time I have attempted this so any suggestions would be welcome and appreciated. I sanded with 1000 grit, went to 1500 and then 2000. Then I started buffing with 3-M Finesse-It. Most of it is looking good but some areas still have a little haze. Buff some more? The worst area was the front of the consoles where I could feel a little flake but it smoothed out very quickly. It just doesn't have that deep wet look that I want. Any suggestions? One other area was where someone had removed reg. nos. It is very shiny where the letters were and not so shiny right beside them. Suggestions? Jim

It's looking great! Finish it off with a high quality carnuba and you will be golden!
