stress cracks!!!!!!!

hello,
my cobra is getting alot of stress cracks on the rail of the boat , is there any one else having this problem.IF I GET THEM FIXED WILL THEY COME BACK?does viper have any kind of warranty on the hull?

This is on a friends boat that's about 14 years old. Is this anything to worry about?

YES, the stain coming from around the eye bolt most likely indicates rot going on in the transom from water intrusion. The big stress cracks are probably from the weakened transom flexing. Not good signs at all.

I may be remembering wrong, but there may be some old resto jobs of those boats in the Bassboat Restoration forum where people pulled the top caps off and did a full hull rebuild with new stringers and transom. Lots of work involved, but would last a lifetime.
