If by messing up you mean it bounces all over the place at 1/4 to 1/2 tank and reads empty when you have about 12-15 gallons left, well then we all have that gauge.
Two of the few gripes about the boat is the fuel gage and the rigging area. You will seldom have to deal with the riggin area, but the fuel gage is everytime out. I keep an eye on my fuel level at the house or at the gas station while sitting still and level and then I know how much gas I have. If you keep an eye on it while out on the water, once you hit E, you should still have somewhere around 12 gallons left. I wouldn't want to make long runs on E, but you should have enough gas not to worry much. Don't have too much fun rocketing out of the hole with a low tank of gas, it is fun but if you keep doing it you will be on trolling motor back to the ramp.![]()
Disregard if I didn't describe your current problem. If it is something that needs to be fixed, I have just described the "fixed" situation.![]()
I've noticed the same thing with my 201. For a little while I thought that I had the only one made with a 20 Gallon tank.
