I will need a model number to answer your question, if you can get the serial number also, I can get the warranty history and see what problems it had while in its warranty period.

I do not have the serial number yet. I am looking at a boat with this motor on it. When I get the number I will let you know.
Did Evinrude have any problems with this motor? I think its a year 2001, not sure though. If I saw a picture of one I could tell you. Thanks Again.
The 2001 motors were mostly trouble free, if you can get the serial number I can be sure of which motor we are talking about.
