It's easy for me to tell a true 3' wave and Iv'e been in Sturgeon Bay and Lake Michigan a few times with a Champ 206 and my Legend 199, when I feel a warm lump in my pants. These places are no joke and when the wind is blowing there are few places to hide,I've seen tm's ripped off,seats broken loose,windscreens blown off and cause stitches,battery straps snap all because guys push there luck or have way to much confidence. One thing about cruiser wakes you know the lake will be crowded every weekend so you can plan your day, when the wind shifts and air temp drops 20 degrees in 2 minutes you better recognize to get close to home.
