Unless somethig bad happens, we are heading that way on the 23rd. Be there on 24th. You can find me hanging with the Stratos Elites or Denny Morris at Phoenix clothing... or maybe with Darrel at his Cook's Go-To booth...or at Mike McClelland's booth...or Skeet's...or pretty much anywhere there is a connection to ChampioN boats...

Also want to check in with Debra Hengst....

Ha! I will track you down somewhere Lea!

Do you think the vendors will be able to make sales on things at expo. Like Hummingbird and Power Pole?? I may try to see if they are doing anything special at the Classic.

Thanks,

Jason

They might, but for the last few years, I have not noticed any special sales. More companies than vendors, except BPS and like that....Used to be, I would walk thru the displays and come home with incredible amounts of freebies. Friends use to say I was gonna walk out with a free boat one day. Did not happen...

Tulsa....We're hoping to make that one, too, David. Have only missed around 4 since our first in 1988. Not to sidetrack, but please keep us posted on how Chandler does with his surgery and recovery...

Jason, from the forecasts I am seeing, the Red is gonna be high and muddier than usual. Heavy duty rain forecast.

Look for fat, gray-haired old woman with a shirt with BBC on the back and Champion on the front...probably...

Hate to hear that for the Classic, but the Sabine River shed bordering TX & LA really needs the rain. Toledo Bend is in sad shape ...

Re: Classic Bound!!! (Tx Champ)

I read somewhere in another thread, that "they" had dropped the level of the river??

The ABC forecasters are just saying up to 5" of rain out of the system. That's a lot of rain. Hopefully, it will help Toledo Bend and other areas which need the rain!

Where exactly is that? Is that the name of the lake, or is it a town?

Grand Lake
Grove, OK

Hands down my favorite lake. I grew up in Grove, now I live in Minneapolis and would move back in a blink if I could.

Nope ... just rolling hills. The rivers cut some pretty deep channels in the olden days. Was on Amistad two weeks ago and it is 16' low. Saw > 160' in places and never got on the main river channel near the dam.

Re: Classic Bound!!! (Tx Champ)

Ill be a media/camera boat in the classic for all 5 days starting wednesday. The Corps did an awesome job on getting the river down quick. Dropped 3 feet in 4 days!!! But all this rain is going to bring it back up.. If you get out on the river please be careful. As a spectator you need to stay behind the camera boats or orange bouys as some pros put out last time. Feel free to shoot me a im with your numbers or for mine and ill keep this updated this week on water levels.
