Weed Ring Part number

Can some one give me a part number for the weed rings for V6's? Website list two and doesn't specify which is for the V6 or V8.

It depends on the gearcase you have and the prop you are using. If you'll provide me with the model number of your engine & prop I can provide you with the P/N you need. If you have a lightning (high-speed), four-hole OMC or offshore style gearcase, there is one ring that will reduce the exhaust opening to work with Renegade or Shooter fourblade propellers that have a V-4 size hub.

Heads up. Your exhaust temps get hot and more than likely the plastic one will melt over a short period of time..............mine will melt them quickly. I would get in touch with Mark Croxton on the props page and have him to put on an aluminum one on your prop. IT WON'T MELT !! Mark is really fast on the turnaround time and the aluminum blowout rings are really inexpensive...........JMHO...................Roger

Ya but I swap props as much as I change socks. After he installs the ring does he rebalance the whole prop?
